JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a Script Writer who can turn strong ideas into highly engaging, retention-driven video scripts. You will play a critical role in shaping concepts, structuring videos, and elevating content from “good” to “must-watch.”

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a Creative Writer across assigned outlines, scripts, and video concepts

• Participate in regular ideation sessions, contributing high-quality, scalable ideas

• Pitch original concepts that can be greenlit and pushed into production

• Write and refine scripts that are optimized for retention, pacing, and emotional engagement

• Punch up ideas, outlines, and scripts to meet the highest creative standards

• Ensure every video is packaged for maximum audience appeal (hooks, stakes, payoff)

• Use analytics, trends, and competitive research to inform creative decisions

• Build scripts that intentionally drive AVD (Average View Duration) and total watch time

• Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and on-set teams to bring concepts to life

• Be present on set when needed to adjust scripts in real time and support execution

• Continuously iterate based on performance data and audience behavior • Contribute to the evolution of formats, recurring series, and scalable content systems

• All other duties within the scope of creative development and writing

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience writing for YouTube or short-form digital content (preferred)

• Deep understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, and retention mechanics

• Ability to think in moments, beats, and hooks (not just dialogue)

• Strong instincts for what makes content viral, shareable, and highly clickable

• Experience using analytics (CTR, retention curves, watch time) to inform creative decisions

• Highly collaborative: thrives in a fast-paced, feedback-heavy environment

• Able to take an idea from rough concept to polished, production-ready script

• Comfortable working under tight timelines and high output expectations

• Strong comedic instincts and ability to write for high-energy, personality-driven content
